Join us at the jewellers’ bench each week and unleash your creativity with our 8-week evening course.
You will learn the basics of jewellery making and discover many techniques to start creating your own stunning jewellery pieces. We provide all the necessary tools, technical know-how, expert tuition, a beautiful studio, and unlimited cups of tea. During the course, you will learn the fundamentals of jewellery and silversmithing and create a range of finished silver pieces to take home. Our expert guidance and support will help you design your own bespoke piece, and we'll share our tips and tricks to help you perfect your craft.
This course is suitable for all levels and is the perfect opportunity to unlock your potential and unleash your inner artist!
Course Overview
Held one day a week over Eight consecutive weeks,
Wednesday Evening sessions 6:00 pm - 8:45 pm
Next running - 9th April - 28th May 2025
All tools and materials are provided for the course, but you can purchase extra materials for your design project.
Techniques covered
Forming, piercing, texturing and pattern making, annealing, soldering, finishing and lots more
What will you make?
We will introduce you to new techniques and processes each week and then assist you in making an item of silver jewellery by applying the techniques learned. The course is divided into two parts. In the first five weeks, you can expect to create at least three small silver items (such as a ring, earrings, cufflinks, a pendant, a lapel pin, or a brooch) and a range of experimental pieces in base metals, copper, and brass. You can create your own design for the final three weeks with our guidance. Materials, including silver, are provided for the first projects, and base metals are included for the final project, with the option to purchase silver.

If you have some jewellery-making experience or have attended a beginner’s workshop or one-day jewellery course,
continue your journey by joining us on Tuesday evenings in the studio to enhance your jewellery-crafting skills and friendship circle.
You can work on your projects using our studio and equipment, with expert guidance and support from our tutors fulled by plenty of cups of tea and biscuits.
Every other Tuesday evening, 6:00 pm - 8:45 pm
