Budget and Time Frames

To see if the workshop suits your  budget we have created the guide below to give you an idea of the different options and costs. 

As each workshop is bespoke the prices will vary and the price of your specific materials will depend on the material chosen, the shape/ width, your ring size, the design chosen for example if you need to shape your ring around your engagement ring then you will need a longer piece of metal and the current price of the metal.  

As a reminder the total for your workshop is your workshop day experience £450 + your materials + extras

Material costs

To make your rings in silver there is no extra materials cost

To make a ladies band in 9ct gold

the material cost usually falls within the following price ranges

2mm wide £80- £96

3mm wide £120 - £140

4mm wide £140 - £165

To make a ladies band in 18ct gold

2mm wide £180 - £210

3mm wide £260- £290

4mm wide £280- £310

To make a men’s band in 9ct gold

3mm wide £140 - £170

 Platinum and Palladium ( per ring )

Using the casting method, we first help you to make the ring in silver  ( which is included in the workshop )  then it is cast in your chosen metal

To make a  palladium band in a smaller style prices start at £200 per ring, going up to £600 + for larger styles (

+ the workshop fee £450  + casting fee ( approx. 2 hours of extra finishing workshop required by us)  which is £80 for one ring or  £100 for two.

To make a platinum band in a smaller style prices start at around  £250, going up to £800 + for larger styles

+ the workshop fee £450  + casting fee ( approx. 2 hours of extra finishing workshop required by us)  which is £80 for one ring or  £100 for two.

For a materials quote please send us the shape, width, material choice and ring size or measurement around the finger in mm for each ring. ( We do require all of the information to be able to work out your material costs)

Extras

Engraving starts at £35 per ring for simple words/ dates, we can provide a quote for complicated designs

Special delivery of your finished rings is £8.50

Time Frames

We ideally need at least 4 weeks notice, this is to arrange the workshop and give us enough time to order your chosen materials.

The ideal time to make your rings is between  6-3months before your wedding date.

  • To make your rings and have them hallmarked the minimum amount of time between your workshop and the date the rings are required is 4 weeks.

  • To have your rings hallmarked and engraved the minimum amount of time is 6 weeks

  • To have your rings cast into platinum or palladium and hallmarked the minimum amount of time is 8 weeks.

  • To have your rings cast, hallmarked and engraved the minimum amount of time is 12 weeks

Short of time between your workshop date and Wedding date?

If you let us know in advance  you can choose to take your finished rings home with you at the end of your workshop and not have them hallmarked. 

Or you can opt for the faster hallmarking service which means we can get your rings hallmarked and back within 2 weeks (usually less) this is £60 for two rings made of the same metal   ( rings of different metals have to be processed by the Assay Office separately  so will be charged at £40 per ring)
